Stand

My mother, who is half American Indian (Sioux and Creek) is pretty ill. I did this for her.

Some days, I get discouraged because my own difficulties seem almost insurmountable. Then I see my mother--and knowing that the very reason we can barely stand to be in the same room for more than five minutes before we want to kill each other is because we are so very much alike--and I see what she is going through, and fighting like hell every step of the way and I'm like, "yeah, I got this."
